With a recent announcement, Google has told its users about its updated policies and guidelines. These policies are centered around how apps will be presented in the Play Store. Moreover, developers have been requested to restrict the length of app titles to 30 characters.
Aside from the things mentioned, there are other things that have been talked about. Below are the other elements of the announcement:
- Developers will not be able to use keywords that reflect the store performance in their app titles.
- Moreover, promotion in title, developer’s name, or even the title is condemned.
- Developers will also feel secure as their apps and games will be eligible for recommendations on all Google Play surfaces.
Thus, Google has focused on customer satisfaction by eliminating any misleading information from apps. As a user, you can expect better app choices and efficient functionality. Along with that, developers are offered greater benefits, too.
Any developer or app that fails to comply with these policies and regulations will not be allowed on the Play Store. Therefore, developers should take notice of these changes and make sure their apps comply with Google’s upgraded policies. Overall, the regulation and upgrades work in favor of both the developers as well as the users.
