An email was sent recently by Google Search to people who had created one or more questions or answers on Google. The email announced that Google Search would discontinue the “ask and answer” functionality on Search. According to the email, Google Search would stop displaying your created questions and answers from 30th April. On 30th June, Google would remove your questions and answers from your contributions page.

Open Google Takeout and click on “Search contributions” to generate a record of all your responses, including your questions and answers. Do this before 30th June to download a copy of your questions and answers on Google.

If you still want to be discovered on Google, create a people card. A people card accentuates your current websites or social accounts that you want others to visit, as well as any other information about yourself that you want others to know. Simply type “Add me to search” in the Google Search box on your smartphone to create your people card. Then follow the instructions to complete creating your people card.

Google Search also expressed its gratitude to its users for raising questions and sharing their expertise on Google.
