Amazon Allows Users To Pay Via Palm – Palm Scan

April 23, 2021 by Nitin Maheta Leave a Comment

Amazon is upscaling its technology game one step at a time. Recently, it has launched Amazon One, a device that lets you configure your credit card with your palm prints. This biometric system is one more addition to the contactless mode of payments.

Palm scan has been designed with the belief that no two hands are the same. They undergo constant change and are secure and convenient to use on a scanning device. Amazon one has a high-tech camera installed within it, which scans the palm and its algorithm creates a unique palm signature that serves as the user’s identity.

The company has taken a defense against its allegation of cutting down employment. It said that though there is no need for a cashier with this system, shops will still need someone to scan items and prepare the bill.

The device has been installed in Amazon’s Whole Foods store in Seattle, and the company has announced it will cover a few more stores in the next few days.
