Founded in 2004, FeedBurner was taken over to manage the web fields by Google 3 years later. However, moving forward, Google is now planning to update FeedBurner towards a ‘more stable and modern infrastructure’ toward the end of this year. This update is supposed to remove email subscriptions and other non-core management features.
These updates are meant to lay the foundation for the next step, moving on to a new UI. The main goal is to keep the software smoothly functioning for the users while focusing on the core feed management functions.
With the new update, the users should now be able to change the URL, source feed, title, and podcast metadata of their feeds. You can also create fundamental feed requests analysis and enclosure tags for MP3 files. Google suggests the users move to third-party replacement offerings as the company plans to start the FeedBurner infrastructure migration in July. Although the company will turn down most non-core feed features, email data will still be available for download.
