Reports have claimed that Google has been working towards making the addition of Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology to Google Pixel 6. Moreover, Mishaal Rahman, a member of the XDA Developers, has also tweeted about the same. In his tweet, he claimed that Google would be introducing the tech through ‘Raven.’
‘Raven’ is the codename of Google Pixel 6. The technology isn’t all that new as it can be found in many Samsung’s as well as Apple’s hardware. However, Google has just now begun experimenting with the tech.
The Ultra Wide Band technology has many advantages such as:
The technology offers better and more accurate location tracking.
You can experience better connections, such as connections between smart speakers and phones.
Moreover, you must be aware of AirTag launched by Apple. Ultra Wide Band tech is used in AirTag too; thus, you can expect something similar.
As of now, Google hasn’t specified the model with which the technology will be adapted. It can be any of the Google Pixel 6 models. While we may not be sure of the model and even the exact functionality, Google as a brand has always raised expectations. Thus, the public is said to be eagerly waiting to see what Google has in stores.
