Change the connecting cable

After you have replaced the cable, open the auto android app to see if the problem persists.

Modify the date and time settings

The communication error 8 can also occur if the date and time settings of your smartphone and car’s music system are different. So, you need to ensure that the settings do not differ. On phone

  • Go to the home screen menu and open settings.
  • Tap the General management sub-menu and choose the “Change Date and Time” option.

On Car Unit

  • In the care unit, set the same time and date as the one on your device.
  • If the car has GPS sync activated, disable it first. If it has already been disabled, enable it.
  • After you are done with disabling and enabling the GPS sync time, disconnect your car battery for half an hour.
  • Now check if the time zone of your car unit and phone are the same.
  • If this is verified, launch the Android auto app and see if things are fine now.

Update your Android Auto App
