How does it work?

Every Android user has to sign up for Google services, which is a cloud-based storage system. Users can link all other Android devices with each other through Google services. If you do not save the Android devices’ contacts as Google contacts, one can only manage these contacts on the device.

To have a backup of all contacts, one has to save all the connections as Google contacts. Once you have done that, you can access those contacts from any other signed-in device. Hence, whenever the Android devices get lost, one can always access all the connections through a different Android device.

Step by step process to sync Google Account contacts to Android devices

Having a backup is an essential thing in life because whenever a situation does not work, one can have something to fall on. Android users can save their contact by backing and saving the contacts as Google contacts. Here is a step by step process to do that:

  • Unlock the Android device and open the settings of it.
  • After that, tap on the ‘Google.’ It will lead you to ‘account services’ and clicking on that will open ‘Google contact services.’
  • Again, you will have to tap on the ‘also sync device contacts.’
  • Now, the final touch you have to do is on ‘automatically backup and sync device contacts.’

By choosing the final option, you will have all the Google Accounts you have signed in on the device. One can select any of the accounts, and all the contacts will back up on that particular Google Account.

Perks of Google services

By saving the contacts on Android devices as Google contacts, one can have safety options. Here are some of the perks:

  • Once you have activated the option ‘automatically backup and sync device contacts,’ it will store all the new contact you will save on the device to directly your Google Account.
  • If you sign out from the Android device, then it will also delete all the contacts from the device. However, the connections will be secure on the Google Account, and you can access them anytime from a different device.

Note: Some Android devices do not automatically back up all the contacts on those devices; one can complete the process manually. It varies from device to device, and one can search that on the internet.

How to stop device contacts saving automatically as Google contacts?

Google services work on very advanced technology, and if the Android users do not want their device contacts to save as Google contacts automatically, then they have the option of turning it off. The process of turning it off is straightforward and almost similar to turning it on. Here are the steps to turn off the option ‘automatically backup and sync device contacts.’

  • The first step would be to unlock the Android device and open the ‘Settings’ app.
  • Then tap on the ‘Google.’
  • The next option on the screen will be ‘account services,’ and by clicking on that, it will open ‘Google contacts sync.’
